Salou is about 100 kilometres southwest of Barcelona El Prat Airport, which makes it far enough away that getting there by public transport is a genuine commitment. Train into Barcelona, then a separate Renfe service down the coast to Salou or Cambrils — all in, you’re looking at 2.5 to 3 hours if everything connects, which it doesn’t always.

A private transfer from BCN airport to Salou takes around 1 hour 40 minutes via the AP-7 motorway. Your driver picks you up from arrivals, the bags go in, and you’re in Salou before the family has had time to start arguing about what to have for dinner.

PortAventura World is one of Europe’s largest theme park resorts, located just on the edge of Salou. If you’re travelling specifically for PortAventura — for the main park, Ferrari Land, or one of the resort hotels — we can drop you directly at the park entrance or at your PortAventura hotel. It’s a popular run for us, especially during school holidays when families are travelling in from all over Europe.

What About the Way Home?

We handle return transfers just as often as arrivals. We’ll collect you from your Salou hotel, your Cambrils apartment, or the PortAventura resort at a time that suits your departure, and take you directly back to Barcelona El Prat. Many people book both legs at the same time — it’s worth doing so you’re not scrambling to sort it on the last day.

Practical Questions

Do you cover all of Salou — including the hotel strip?

Yes. We cover central Salou, the beach hotel area, Cambrils, the PortAventura resort hotels, and the surrounding Costa Daurada. Just include your full address when booking.

What if my group is large — more than 4 people?

For groups of 5 or more, or families with a lot of luggage, we’d recommend one of our minivans which seats up to 8 passengers. Let us know the group size when you book and we’ll confirm the right vehicle.

How early should I book for summer travel?

As early as you can. July and August are busy — popular routes like BCN to Salou get booked out, particularly on peak travel days (Friday evenings, Sunday afternoons, the week before and after school holidays). A few weeks in advance is comfortable. A few months is even better.

Is PortAventura drop-off inside the resort or at the main entrance?

We can do either — main park entrance or directly to your resort hotel. Just specify when booking and we’ll route accordingly.
